Walt Disney World’s Beach Club Review

I love all the Epcot area Deluxe Resort (actually, I just love all Disney Deluxe Resorts, and wish I had the budget to stay in them all the time), but the Beach Club holds a special place in my heart. I think of all Disney Resorts, The Beach Club is the most charming. I’ve never been to Cape Cod, but when I imagine summering there, in my high class, waspy other existence that I don’t live, the Beach Club is what the resorts look like on the beaches there. Even when I’m not staying at this resort, I love to go, and hang out there. I love the elegant, but casual feeling of the resort, and the overall vibe of the place.

The rooms at the Beach Club give off the feeling of casual luxury. They’re laid-back, but still elegant enough to make you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. There are Disney touches throughout the room, but you don’t feel like Mickey Mouse is being shoved down your throat. The beachy feeling of the decor is definitely more New England, and has an upper class feel to it. There’s nothing tropical, or ‘island-ish’, about the design.

One of the biggest selling points of staying at The Beach Club, is that this resort, as well as the sister resort, The Yacht Club, have exclusive access to Storm-Along Bay. Storm-Along Bay is one of, if not the coolest pool on Walt Disney property. The pool features several hot tubs, a lazy river, a waterslide coming out of a pirate ship, and a SAND BOTTOM. What’s cooler than a sand bottom pool? Nothing. Nothing is cooler than a sand bottom pool. Storm-Along Bay also features a great pool side bar, for the adults enjoying a pool day.

Another great feature of The Beach Club is the close proximity to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Both are within walking distance, with Epcot being a very short distance. Hollywood Studios isn’t far, but there’s also a boat you can take.

We love The Beach Club – it’s our second favorite of all the Deluxe Resorts, and we highly recommend it to anyone. Many times it can be found at much cheaper prices than the resorts on the monorail, and it’s still very close to two of the parks. We don’t think you will ever regret staying here – and it might become your favorite resort on property.
