Where to Stay Off Property at WDW

We consider ourselves Walt Disney World experts around here – after all, our love affair with the Mouse and his theme parks has been a long-running theme of our lives. One of the questions we get asked most often is where to stay at Disney World, if you’re a larger group, or are looking to save money. When travelling with a bigger family, or hoping to be a little more economical, we always recommend renting a vacation home instead of staying on property or at a hotel.

On our most recent trip to Disney World, we partnered with Stays Orlando, and stayed in one of their fantastic vacation homes. The house that we stayed in was only a 20-minute drive to the theme parks and had a full kitchen, a pool, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

One of our favorite things about staying in a vacation home is having access to a full kitchen. We grabbed groceries on our way into town and made breakfast, coffee, and lunch at the house every day, and then just had one meal in the parks. This saved us a ton of money and was really convenient for mornings that we rope-dropped the parks.

We highly recommend Stays Orlando – this was one of the nicest vacation homes that we’ve stayed in, and we loved having plenty of room to stretch out. Thank you for hosting us, Stays Orlando!
