Ok guys – let’s be honest. Does any other resort at Disney have as good of food as The Poly?! It’s essentially a food and drink mecca, where a pilgrimage is required for all Disney foodies. For us, no Disney trip is complete without a stop for a meal at The Poly. We love it – we have the souvenir drink koozie, and the foam finger. Today, we’re listing (IN ORDER, because Myspace taught us to rank things), our top five favorite places to eat at The Poly.

5 Trader Sam’s
Trader Sam’s is so much fun. It’s one of the best places to get the party started, in an atmosphere unlike any other on property. The food, leaves something to be desired, in our opinion. It’s a bit on the small side, and a little overpriced, for what you get. It’s good – but not your best bet.
4. Captain Cook’s
We love Captain Cook’s, and think it’s some of the best quick service on property. It’s affordable, unique, and delicious. Grab a plate and sit outside with views of the volcano.
3. The Kona Cafe
In years past, this would have HANDS DOWN been my number one choice. I love Kona – I dream of the bread, and have craved their pancakes on so many occasions, that I’m thinking of getting the scent of the syrup in a room spray. However, based on recent menu changes (I shake my fist at you, higher ups!), the restaurant is falling a few spots. It’s still good, and we still recommend it – but it’s not what it used to be.

2. Ohana
I think, in my dreams, people are bringing me endless steak, while I have a tropical drink in my hand. That dream is reality at Ohana. I really feel like I don’t need to have more of an argument on why Ohana is number two on the list.
1. Tambu Lounge
Tambu Lounge is a sleeper pick, we know. And we know that A LOT of you are going to disagree with this pick. BUT, on our last trip, we stopped by this bar unexpectedly and had the MOST incredible meal and drinks, for a dirt cheap price. We had Polynesian Pulled Pork Nachos, which were one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten at Disney, and fed FOUR PEOPLE, for $9. We then had Ohana Bread Pudding, and tropical cocktails. It was an incredible experience, and cemented the number one spot for me.
You don’t need our list to enjoy eating at The Poly – all you need is your stomachs. But we hope our list help.
