It’s been a crazy couple of months for David and me. We’ve both been going non-stop (it seems like quiet nights at home are a thing of the past!), so rest seems to be the last thing on the priority list. That’s one of the reasons I was so excited when Getaway House reached out, and offered to host us at their new Dallas location.
Getaway House is a collection of tiny cabins, located a couple of hours outside of major cities. They’re spread out enough that you feel totally isolated, and can really disconnect. My favorite thing about Getaway House is that they have fire pits outside of every cabin, and a cell phone lockbox, so you can disconnect from the real world.
David and I had a perfect night making smores outside of our cabin, and playing monopoly. Each of the cabins have a giant window near the bed overlooking the woods. Our golden retriever Harley got in on the fun too, and had the time of his life being able to be included in one of our trips!
