The Best Warm Weather Getaway Locations

I’m crossing off days on my calendar and already have a bag half packed for all the beach adventures I have planned for the summer. There’s really nothing I love more than a summer getaway – it makes me feel like a kid again, reveling in the feeling of summer break. Today we wanted to share our favorite warm-weather getaway locations, so you can start packing your bikinis and have the best trip ever.

-Seaside, Florida

Seaside is one of our favorite places on earth. We’ve been going since the year that we met, and besides having what we think of as the prettiest beaches in the continental United States, also have a great collection of restaurants and local spots. We frequent The Great Southern Cafe, McGuires, The Donut Hole, and Amavida Coffee. April and May have historically been the months we find with the nicest weather and least amount of rain.

-North Shore, Oahu

There’s really nowhere on earth like the North Shore of Oahu. We love the sleepy little surf town, the lack of resorts, and the abundance of food trucks. Plus we love the fact that you can find an almost deserted beach on a weekday, to live out all your private island daydreams.

-Laguna Beach, California

I mean, it’s mostly just a classic early 2000s TV show, but besides that, it’s a small artist community with great food and scenic cliffside views. Combine it with a trip to Disneyland for the perfect summer vacation.

-Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston is one of my favorite cities. It’s close to a great beach and makes you feel like you’re in Europe with all its incredible architecture. Make sure to not miss 167 Raw, The Ordinary, and Rainbow Row.

-Savannah, Georgia

This town makes me simultaneously feel like I’m in an episode of The Vampire Diaries, while also channeling my inner Scarlett O’Hara. This city is full of good Southern food and atmosphere. Head to Tybee Island or Hilton Head for a fun beach add-on.
