WHOSE READY FOR ANOTHER DAVID LETTERMAN STYLE TOP TEN LIST?! Today, we’re sharing ten experiences we think you should have at some point at Walt Disney World – and yes, we know that there are tons of things you can do at Disney, but we control what goes on the list. You can write your own list, about how a perfect trip to Disney would be a continuous showing of ‘Move It Shake It Celebrate It’ (which I personally think plays on a loop in hell). My NYE romper is here!
1. Go During The Holidays
The parks are at their best during Christmas. Everything is decorated to the nines, with enough tinsel and lights to fill the state of Nevada. It’s truly the most beautiful time of the year to go.
2. Attend an Epcot Festival.
Do you love to eat? Do you love Epcot? If you answered yes to both questions (and you should), then no Disney fan should go without a visit to one of Epcot’s festivals.
My favorite Disney Dooney’s are here, here, and here!
3. Watch The Kiss Goodnight
The Kiss Goodnight, which takes place a half hour after park close, is one of our favorite Magic Kingdom traditions. You can read all about it here.
4. Go To A Hard Ticket Event
Whether you get your Not So Scary on at Halloween or celebrate Mickey’s Very Merry Party, it’s fun to be in the parks during a ticketed event. You can read about both here and here.re.
5. Go During NYE
WE LOVE THE PARKS DURING NEW YEARS! Most people will tell you not to go because it’s busy, and we say that they’re wrong. Yes it’s busy, but it’s so fun, especially Epcot with their epic dance parties. Read all about it here.
6. Have A Monorail Crawl
One of the coolest ways to check out all the Deluxe Resorts, is by going on a monorail crawl. Read about our favorite stops here.My dress is available here!
7. Have A Meal At A Fancy Restaurant
There’s nothing we love more than a nice meal at a romantic restaurant. We recommend The California Grill, or Monsieur Paul for our top romantic picks. Shop my favorite cold shoulder dresses here and here.
8. Catch All The Night Time Entertainment
Your trip won’t be complete without catching the nighttime shows, and fireworks. They’re part of what makes the parks so special. Even if you have young kids, try to have them catch a nap so you can watch the shows.
9. Eat In The Castle
Yes, it’s hella expensive, and you can get just as good of meals for far less money elsewhere in the park. But it’s an incredible experience that you need to have at least once.
10. Close Down A Park
There’s something incredible about being one of the last people out of the parks. The parks are at their most magical at night, and it’s even more special when you’re one of the only people there.
These are our favorite things at Walt Disney World – but we know no matter how you spend your time, you’ll love it.
