Have you ever seen the movie Heidi? It’s the super extra story of an orphan girl, growing up with her tortured soul of a grandfather in Switzerland. There’s also goats, goat herders, and scheming rich folk. It’s great – if you have six hours of your life to throw away, you should check it out. But it was this movie, and an interest in seeing where the non-Disneyland version of the Matterhorn was that drew us to the car-free town of Zermatt, in Switzerland, which became one of our favorite things.
