Fall Traditions We Love

I wish all of fall felt like taking a stroll through Stars Hallow when it’s decorated for autumn. Texas weather can be kind of hit or miss for fall though – sometimes we feel like it’s summer straight through until Christmas, and sometimes we get lucky and have blissful fall weather. I’m praying for that blissful fall weather this year, so I can break out my favorite scarves and booties early. Today, we’re sharing our favorite fall traditions that we look forward to every year.

-Pumpkin Patches
It doesn’t get more basic than this – we normally go to the over-the-top pumpkin patch at The Dallas Arboretum, where the normal gardens overflow with fairytale pumpkins.

-Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Pumpkin Pie
Occasionally I’ll grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks, but I also love some of Dallas’s craft coffee shop – my favorite is from 1418. Our favorite pumpkin pie is actually one that David makes, or we’ll grab a slice for Emporium Pies!

-Friendsgiving
Every year, a few weeks before Thanksgiving, we have a Thanksgiving potluck with some friends. David and I always make the Turkey, and since we’re always travelling on Thanksgiving day, it ends up being the only Thanksgiving dinner we get. It’s one of my favorite days of the year, and favorite traditions.

-Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Products
There’s not a pumpkin product from Trader Joe’s that I don’t love. Pumpkin Ravioli? HERE FOR IT. Pumpkin Salad dressing? I’ll buy it by the case. Pumpkin ice cream? I’ve never loved anything more.

-Autumn Gilmore Girls Episodes
I mean – isn’t this a no brainer? Of course I’m going to have SOMETHING Gilmore Girls on this list. I watch EVERY Fall Gilmore Girls episode every fall.
