DO YOU WANT TO RUN ON VACATION?! Neither do we. Actually, we don’t want to run ever. Unless we hear the ice cream truck in our neighborhood, or there’s a sale at Anthro. But – we care about you guys. And we know that some of you like to run, and do other things that we don’t understand, so out of the generosity of our own hearts, we chose to run the Castaway 5k. And by we, I mean I told David to do it, while I ate Mickey waffles. 
The Castaway Cay 5k is great for one reason – it’s free, while most RunDisney Events are getting more and more expensive. It’s not a scenic run, and it’s hella hot, and hella humid. It’s super chill, and all you have to do is sign up at guest services before the race.
Most people walk it – so if you’re into collecting the bling (in this case, it’s a rubber medal), then go for it. 
We don’t recommend this race – but we aren’t runners, it was hot and humid, and there wasn’t much scenery as it takes you mainly along the back of the island. But it’s free, and you don’t have much to lose, so do it for yourself. You don’t have to take our words for it.
