Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk Resort Review

I love Deluxe Disney accommodations. In fact, there’s very few things I love more. What I DON’T love, is Deluxe Disney Resort prices. On a recent trip with a few girl friends, we were all set to stay at a Value Resort (which I still love), when an incredible deal came up on DVC Rental Store, our favorite way to stay at Deluxe Resorts, at Moderate Prices. We secured a one bedroom villa to stay in for our long weekend trip.

I have a long standing love affair with The Boardwalk. A romanticised version of a bygone era – it’s both resort, shopping, and dining area and within walking area to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The Boardwalk has great quick service with the Boardwalk Bakery (if you enjoy sandwiches the size of your face – which I don’t know who doesn’t like that), and great bars with the Abracadabar. If you want fine dining, you can grab a bite to eat at The Flying Fish, then enjoy a stroll by string light near the water.

The resort is decorated in understated tones, with neutrals and understated elegance. Most of the whimsy is found on the outside, and at the pool era, where a slide comes out of a clown mouth (which is mainly fun, and only mildly terrifying).

The main draw of this resort is it’s location, which is especially great during a festival at Epcot, when you can walk to and from the resort to rest when the day gets too hot.

Bottom line – we love The Boardwalk, and highly recommend it. But we mainly recommend it if you can score a great deal through renting DVC points.
