I’m sure you’ve seen Glossier products all over your instagram feed by now. The combination of the cool girl packaging, the fact that the girl that created them used to be on The Hills (even if it was just for a few episodes), and the millennial pink bags that everything comes in, is the perfect combination. But is the makeup actually worth the hype? Here’s the thing – I’m a natural born skeptic. I have to try things for myself before I’ll think that they’re the best in the world. I’m not watching Stranger Things just because everyone else is (don’t hate me), and I’m not cranking Bodak Yellow as loud as I can. I just have never been the type of person that buys into hype until I try it for myself. Well – I’m here to tell you that several Glossier products are SUPER worth the hype, and after you try them, you’ll never go back to your old make up.
-Boy Brow
Guys – boy brow is brow mascara and filler all in one. I don’t want to be dramatic, but it completely changes the look of my face, in the best way possible. If you’re only going to buy one Glossier product, make it this one. If I wear no other makeup, I wear this.
This is the best highlighter I’ve ever used. It’s super portable, in a stick form, and not too glittery (which is super hard for highlighters to pull off). It also comes in three shades, and all of them are flattering).
-Glossier You
I’m incredibly picky about fragrance. I think most fragrances overwhelm, and overshadow a person – I usually stick to classic Chanel or Ralph Lauren fragrances. But Glossier You, is incredibly special, because it mixes with your personal pheromones, to smell different on every single person, so it’s like having a person scent made for you.
This is part face cleanser and part make up remover. I love having the ability to take my makeup off and clean my face in ONE step, because I’m super lazy. This is a great product for people with sensitive skin as well, as it doesn’t dry, and is super moisturizing.
I have an incredibly hard time finding lip balm that actually works. It wears off super easily, and then my lips end up dryer than ever. Balm Dotcom is one of the only products I’ve ever used that stays on for hours, and stays moisturizing from start to finish.
So there you have it – the Glossier products you NEED in your makeup arsenal. But be forewarned, it’s easy to become obsessed with Glossier and find yourself spending all your money.
