I love wine. I think in a previous life, I might have been wine. This is why I was so thrilled to hear about the opening of Wine Bar George at Disney Springs – it combines two of my favorite things in the world – Disney Springs, and wine. David and I had lunch there a few weeks ago, and we found it to be a wonderful respite from the heat.
The menu is set up so that you can order food to share with the table, and wine is available in different size ounce pours, so you can get a little or a lot. We chose to order a few dishes to share, and multiple small pours of wine, so that we could try a lot of different styles of wine.
Everything we tried at Wine Bar George was delicious, especially the fried Mac n Cheese. I was really excited by all the different varietals on the menu, especially the chance to get to try Caymus by the ounce. Everyone that worked at the restaurant was knowledgeable, and kind.
The restaurant was beautiful and well decorated. At the end of the day, we thought the restaurant was great, but a tad overpriced. Disney Springs has done such a good job of staffing itself with diverse, delicious, and well themed restaurant options, that I feel like every restaurant that comes to Disney Springs now, can’t just be good, but needs to have great theming, and experience.
