In high school, my favorite show was The OC. I owned all the seasons on DVDs, and could basically quote all the episodes. Orange County might not have the same drama or quippy one-liners, but it does have great food and beautiful scenery. We’ve made quite a few trips to Southern California (mainly because Disneyland, duh), and today, we’re sharing our favorite spots.

-Slapfish
This is some of the best seafood we’ve had, at ridiculously low prices. We had the fish tacos, crab grinder sandwich, and chowder fries, and everything was delicious.
-Bear Flag
This place has our favorite poke in the world and has great drinks as well. We make a point to come here every time we’re in California.
-Dads Frozen Banana
There might not always be money in this banana stand, but there is Balboa Bars – which are ice cream dipped in fast-drying chocolate with your choice of toppings. Balboa is a super cute area where we love to wander around.
-Treasure Island Beach
Treasure Island is our favorite beach in California. It’s in Laguna and is surrounded by beautiful rocks, and full of tide pools.

-Huntington Dog Beach
GUYS. PEOPLE BRING THEIR DOGS HERE AND LET THEM RUN AROUND MAKING FRIENDS WITH ALL THE PEOPLE. Basically, it’s heaven on earth.
-Daydream
Our friends recommended this coffee shop in Newport, and it was delicious.
-Lost Pier Cafe
This breakfast spot is right on the beach with only outdoor seating. They have great breakfast food at super affordable prices.

-Sidecar
These are the best donuts we’ve had in the whole world. Which as lovers of all breakfast pastry, that’s a bold statement for us to make.
-Pacific City Boardwalk
This is a great collection of restaurants and outdoor shopping, all with great views of the Ocean.
-Crescent Bay Point Park
If you’re looking for one of the best views in Orange County, head here.
