I love seasonal dates. I love doing seasonal things in general – so it stands to reason that I love them even more when I get to do them with David, my favorite person. Today, I wanted to share some of our favorite dates we go on every autumn. We try to make date night a priority every week, no matter what. We both work a lot – David’s an engineer, and my job kind of never stops, so it’s important to us to have a night where we unplug, and just spend time together.
-Oktoberfests
Pretzels, beer, and weenie dog races? COUNT ME IN FOREVER.
-Harry Potter Marathons
I love Harry Potter all year, but I especially love it during the fall, when I can eat pizza, and make homemade butterbeer. We make a nest of pillows and blankets on the floor, and light all of our fall scented candles, and make a night of it.
-Pumpkin Patches and Pumpkin Spice Lattes
I love a good pumpkin patch, and I love a good pumpkin spice latte, so combining the two, always makes for an ideal date in my mind.
-Homemade Baked Goods and Fall Movies at Home
One of my favorite fall movies in ‘You’ve Got Mail’, or ‘Runaway Bride’, and I love to make a batch of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to eat while we watch.
-Eating our Favorite Tomato Soup by The Fire
Tomato Basil Soup is our favorite, and there’s a french restaurant in our town that has the best we’ve ever had. We like to curl up by the fire and eat this cozy staple.
-Seeing a Film at The Drive In
I don’t know if anything is more nostalgic than going to the drive in, and it always feels perfect for fall. This is one of our all time favorite dates.
