Best Counter Service Restaurants in Epcot

Raise your hand if you think eating around the World in Epcot should be considered at attraction in and of itself? (Raises hand). I have no shame in the fact that I think eating is a top activity in visiting Walt Disney World, and Epcot, one of the eating crown jewels. Today, we’re writing out a list of our top Counter Service restaurants that you need to visit in the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow for your trip to Disney to be complete.

5. Kingla Bakeri Og Kafe, Norway, World Showcase
We all know you’re going here for one thing – the legendary School Bread. If school had served snacks that tasted this good, I might have gotten better grades. School Bread is a magical pastry, made by Norwegian Trolls (or very skilled Epcot Bakeries), that consists of vanilla custard and toasted coconut. One taste will turn you into a raving fan.

Morocco is one of the most beautiful pavilions in World Showcase, in our opinion, full of back alleys, and the feeling that you’re going to see Aladdin on the run from palace guards. They have an amazing quick service restaurant, with adventurous food that will still be appeal to picky eaters. (I’ve never met anyone that doesn’t like humus.). The pita slider plate is one of our favorites, and big enough to share.

We love this place for several reasons. For starters, they just started serving what we think is the best breakfast you can get in Epcot. The Chilaquiles is phenomenal, and you can shout it at the top of your lungs like Caesar does in Gilmore Girls, and it will bring you a lot of joy. Secondly, the have a great open air seating space, with views of World Showcase, that give you all the warm, fuzzy, Disney feelings during sunset. We recommend grabbing some nachos (add guacamole for a few dollars extra!), and enjoy the view. This is prime Disney real estate you’re renting.

This is the only place in Future World that makes our list, but what can we say? World Showcase > Future World. We do have a soft spot for The Land though. Maybe it’s the fact that they always are playing the music from The Mighty Ducks, or the fact that they grow most of their own produce on site, but we love this place. Grab some Asian noodles, or fish tacos here, and enjoy that it’s one of the only quick service restaurants where you can get complimentary refills on sodas, which to some people, is a big deal.

I love real France, and I love Epcot France. If I could only chose one country in World Showcase to spend all my time in, it would be France. I think the country was perfectly done, from the fountains, to be film, to the restaurants. The bakery is no exception, with it’s delicious soups, sandwiches, and pastries, and great price points. This is our favorite place in Epcot to grab a creme brûlée, or a bowl of lobster bisque, and sit by the fountain, soaking up the atmosphere.

DSC_9326 DSC_0195DSC_0190DSC_0187DSC_0186It’s hard to go wrong with food in Epcot – there’s a reason they make t-shirts that talk about eating around the world. We hope our list helps you narrow down your options even more, since there’s only so much one stomach and wallet can handle, even for the most seasoned and championed of eaters.
